Public Prosecutor Relieved, New One Appointed

The President of the Transitional Sovereign Council in Sudan, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan,has issued a decision removing Khalifa Ahmed from the position of Public Prosecutor and replace him by Al-Fateh Muhammad Issa Tayfour.
The new Public Prosecutor, Al-Fateh Tayfour, served as the Public Prosecutor for Darfur crimes. He was born in the northern state, Al-Mahs area.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Al-Nilein University.
He served as a legal advisor in the Office of the Attorney General, then he was an attorney for the Illicit Wealth Prosecution. He also worked as a legal advisor for the Nilein Bank, and an attorney for the Consumer Protection Prosecution. He also held the position of Director of the Department of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. He also served as Deputy Senior Prosecutor of the Northern State.
