Informed banking sources told (Sudan Events) that the Central Bank of Sudan will announce monetary policy for the year 2024 within the next few days.
A banking source – who preferred not to be disclosed – confirmed that the Central Bank aims, through its monetary policy, to continue its efforts to address the impacts resulting from the war situation in order to ensure the recovery of the banks and the stability of banking work.
The source pointed out that the Bank announcement of the monetary policy for the year 2024 is aiming to stabilize the exchange rate and to continue unifying the foreign exchange market, as well as stabilizing the general level of prices and reducing inflation rate.
The policies also target the growth of the monetary base, contributing to financial stability, and enhancing financial inclusion.
