UN Supports War-Affected in Gadarif

Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah

The Acting Governor of Gadarif, Mohammed Abdul-Rahman, received at the Guest House (Saturday) the delegation of the Security and Safety Department of the United Nations organizations working in Sudan, headed by John Garang Aweil, the department’s coordinator, in the presence of the state’s Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, Abdulkafeel Al-Adnani, and the director of refugee housing in Gadarif Abdul-Moneim Osman.
The meeting discussed ways to advance the programs and activities of international organizations to support those affected by the events in Khartoum and the Gezira.
The Acting Governor welcomed the delegation, stressing the state government’s interest in providing everything that will help organizations implement their programs that aim to serve the governments of those states to achieve the desired goals.
