Car Accident Near Egyptian Border

A mother and her son died, and others were injured as a result of a traffic accident near the Sudanese-Egyptian border – east of the city of Wadi Halfa. They were on their way to Egypt illegally.
Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reported that Wadi Halfa Hospital received a number of injuries and deaths this morning (Tuesday) as a result of the accident that occurred with a pickup truck, which resulted in the death of Mrs. Hiam Mohieddin and her son, Al-Tayeb Ismail Al-Tayeb (14 years old).
Initial investigations by the police in Wadi Halfa revealed that the accident occurred on the outskirts of the Sudanese-Egyptian border, 200 km east of the city of Wadi Halfa, and the vehicle intended to enter Egypt illegally with 14 passengers on board, including children, women, and the elderly.
The vehicle was involved in an accident that led to the death of the two, and the others were exposed to various injuries, fractures, and wounds. The necessary medical treatments and examinations were performed and they were detained in the hospital, while others survived the accident without significant injuries.
