Egyptian Parliament Discusses Sudan’s Situation Developments

The Arab Affairs Committee of the Egyptian House of Representatives, headed by Representative Ahmed Fouad Abaza, will discuss, in its meeting today, Tuesday, the dossier of developments in the situation in Sudan, and the latest developments in light of Egyptian efforts aimed at calming the situation.
Representative Ahmed Fouad Abaza, Chairman of the Arab Affairs Committee, stressed that Sudan represents great importance to Egypt, because of the strong relations Egypt has with Sudan , as it is considered a national security aspect to the south.
He said that the meeting will address developments in the situation in Sudan, particularly in light of Egyptian efforts aimed at achieving security, safety and stability in the entire region.
The Chairman of the Arab Affairs Committee explained that Egypt is keen to bring calm to the situation in Sudan and raise the value of dialogue and negotiation in order to preserve the stability of the sisterly Sudanese state.
Ahmed Fouad Abaza added: “Egypt is very keen to provide all forms of support to Sudan in order to preserve its unity and stability away from any actions that would increase tension in the region.”
