Hudson Critical of Hamdouk-Hemedti Meeting
Sudan Events – Follow-ups
Former American diplomat Cameron Hudson criticized the meeting that took place between the Coordination of Civilian Democratic Forces (Taqaddum) headed by Abdullah Hamdouk and the Rapid Support militia (RSF) led by Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti) in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, yesterday, Monday.
While he described the meeting as disgusting, he added that it was just another public relation show for the Rapid Support Forces, and accused the militia of attracting these leaders for a long time.
In post on Platform (X), Hudson said “Watching Sudan’s supposed civilian leaders treat the person who destroyed their country, raping their women and looting their homes like their brothers is truly disgusting and gives me no hope for the country’s future Self-serving and shameful betrayal of all Sudanese”
In a post later today (Tuesday), Hudson continues to write about the matter, saying that the subtext that was not discussed “during the Hamdouk- Hemedti meeting” was the assertion that the RSF had attracted these leaders long ago.
“It’s hard not to see this as just another well-written RSF Public Relation Show,” he added.
