China Supports Sudan’s Sovereignty

China said that it will continue to support Sudan’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, hoping that peace and stability will prevail in Sudan soon.
Chinese President Xi Jinping said in a cable he sent to the President of the Transitional Sovereign Council (TSC), Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, today, Wednesday, on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of Sudan’s independence, “I am pleased to extend, on behalf of the Chinese government and the Chinese people, in my personal name, to you and through you to the Sudanese government and the friendly Sudanese people, my sincere congratulations and good wishes.
Ping referred to the deep Sudanese-Chinese relations, and that the two sides enjoyed close political trust and exchange support in matters related to mutual interests and mutual concerns, noting that the meeting he held with the President of the Sovereign Council during the recent Sino-Arab summit during which joint understanding was reached on developing relations between the two countries.
Ping renewed his country’s interest in supporting and strengthening relations with Sudan and joint work to advance the stable and long-term development of the Sudanese-Chinese relationship, in a way that will better benefit the peoples of the two countries.
