FIFA Compensates Real Madrid

Real Madrid is preparing to obtain 400,000 euros from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), as compensation for the injury of Royal star Vinicius Junior.
Vinicius suffered an injury with the Brazilian national team in the match against Colombia, last November, in their match in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Real Madrid’s match today, Wednesday, against Real Mallorca, will likely witness Vinicius’s first appearance on the field after two months of absence.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, Real Madrid will receive compensation worth 400,000 euros from FIFA, in accordance with the regulations for protecting clubs during the International Federation’s agenda.
The newspaper explained that FIFA regulations regarding injuries to players with their country’s national teams stipulate that clubs be compensated on the basis of the player’s fixed salary, in the event of injury during the match and absence for more than 28 consecutive days, noting that FIFA compensates clubs for each injured player after 28 days have passed. FIFA pays the clubs financial compensation amounting to a maximum of £ 7 million and £500 ,000 and the amount is calculated on the basis of a daily compensation amounting to £ 20 ,548 with a maximum period of 365 days.
