RSF Militia Destroys Gezira University

The Rapid Support militia (RSF) targeted the headquarters and offices of the Gezira University – Central Sudan and carried out extensive theft, looting and damage operations.
The Medani Resistance Committees said in a statement, on Tuesday night, that the RSF militia continued its plan to destroy the state’s infrastructure, and targeted Gezira University.
The Committees accused it of looting and stealing the Gezira University complexes, its property, and the property of the professors, and pointed to stealing the university administration contents, academic affairs, student affairs, and all the relevant deanships.
The committees confirmed that the militia broke into all offices of professors and colleges administrations in the university complexes and looted everything, in addition to looting the university savings bank and its branches, the university farm, and (Al-Razi)International Hall.
The Committees said that all the homes of professors in Nashishiba, Preparatory School, Hantoub, and Abu Haraz were looted, and all institutions related to the university in Wad Medani, which provided services to the community, were robbed, looted, and destroyed.
The committees held the RSF Militia, its members, and its allies responsible for the destruction of Gezira University.
It is noteworthy that the militia has seized cities and villages in the state since mid-December, and has carried out widespread violations, looting, and assaults.
