Kasala Receives More ICRC Assistance

Sudan Events – Follow-ups

The International Committee of the Red Cross in Sudan continued its efforts to support the health sector to mitigate the effects of the ongoing conflict since mid-April last year.

In a new response to the basic needs of those affected and to provide people with clean and safe drinking water, the ICRC on Thursday donated two centrifugal pumps and 25 barrels of chlorine powder, each weighing 45 kg, to the Kasala State’s Water Authority.

On Wednesday, ICRC began distributing food and cash aid to 2,800 displaced families in Kasala, displaced from various states affected by the conflict.
