Exporters and Importers Register’s Controls

The Minister of Trade and Supply, Al-Fatih Abdullah Yousif, has issued a new decision specifying the controls for extracting exporters and importers register.
The decision, a copy of which was obtained by Sudan Events, stipulates the controls for extracting the Companies register of exporters and importers; a statement from the Trade and Supply Investigations, a certificate of the commercial registrar (Arabic-English), in addition to the Memorandum of Association explaining and specifying the purposes according to the capital share, along with an official extract, or (Sheen 7) form from the Commercial Registrar, in addition to national numbers for all shareholders and a discharge certificate from Taxation Chamber and discharge certificate from the Zakat Chamber, in addition to a statement of account from the bank in the name of the company, provided that the amount is consistent with the capital share indicated in the Memorandum of Association.
Meanwhile the decision specified the controls for extracting the register of exporters and importers with regard to business names, by presenting a certificate from the Trade and Supply Investigation Department, in addition to a valid license in the name of the business stating the purpose (import, export), signed by the Commercial Registrar, the national number of the business owner, a discharge certificate from Taxation Chamber and discharge certificate from the Zakat Chamber, a statement of business name and membership certificate in the Chamber of Commerce.
The decision stipulates that, in order to extract the register of exporters and importers for investment, there must be a commercial registrar’s certificate (Arabic, English), the decision of investment/ investors license for the year 2015 in addition to competent (agricultural, industrial or commercial) chamber membership, ID of the owner of the investment project, a discharge certificate from Taxation Chamber and discharge certificate from the Zakat Chamber, as well as a statement of account in the name of the company, a renewed (Seven) certificate, in addition to national numbers for shareholders.
In the meantime, the decision specified the requirements for issuing a certificate of exporters’ and importers’ register renewal for (for companies, business names, investments, etc.), all the requirements for issuing the commercial register certificate mentioned in companies, business names, and investments, in addition to a letter from the Central Bank of Sudan not prohibiting activity during the validity period of the register, a copy to customs and a copy kept in the Bank of Sudan.
