Sudan Events – Follow-ups
A young man was shot dead by the Rapid Support militia (RSF) in the city of Rufa’a in Gezira State – central Sudan, when they fired randomly during a robbery attempt.
The RSF Militia has continued to loot, kill, and attack cities and villages since it invaded Gezira State in mid-December.
The Civil Resistance Committees said in a press statement that the RSF Militia continued its violations, and a force affiliated with it, consisting of a combat vehicle with full military equipment, attempted to steal a vehicle in the city of Rufa’a.
They added that this force fired random bullets, which led to the injury of the young man, Louay Awad Mohammed Ahmed Al-Fadani, with a bullet in the abdomen, which did not give him survival for a while and he became a martyr.
The statement stressed that, “Since the occupation of Gezira State by the RSF Militia, the situation has no longer been stable and safe, as the state’s residents are suffering from multiple attacks, including robbery, looting, killing, and displacement.”
