The Media Secretary of the Goldsmiths and Gold Exporters Division, Atif Ahmed, stressed the need for creating a single window regarding gold exports so that their return will be quick.
The demanded that the window includes the Ministry of Trade and Intelligence and the Ministry of Minerals and Sudan Standards & Metrology Organization to expedite the completion of the required procedures with the banks.
In a statement to (Sudan Events), he stated that bureaucracy and slow procedures frustrate exports and lead to exporters incurring losses, in addition to the state treasury losing quick revenues.
Atif called for raising the issue of the single window at the meeting of the Chamber of Commerce set to be held in Port Sudan tomorrow, Wednesday.
