The Sudanese Armed Forces announced that they are advancing on several fronts, while battles have renewed in a number of areas of the capital, Khartoum.
The army confirmed that the Special Action Forces in the old Omdurman area were able to destroy the Rapid Support militia (RSF) in the Abdeen area in Abbasiya-Sinada, cleared the area around Al-Tijani Al-Mahi Hospital, and captured weapons and ammunition.
The army’s official page published a video showing the movements of the Special Action Forces and their deployment in those areas.
Meanwhile, local reports said that violent confrontations between the army and the militia in Omdurman used light and heavy weapons, and resulted in deaths and injuries.
It confirmed that the army forces in the Corps of Engineers launched a surprise attack on the RSF, and took control of its positions after fierce clashe
In this context, eyewitnesses reported that the army bombarded RSF targets with artillery in the neighborhoods of Al-Mujahideen, Mayo, Al-Nahda and Al-Azhari, south of Khartoum, and the militia retaliated with shells at the headquarters of the Army General Command in Khartoum.
