Kasala: Microfinance increases by 400%

The Acting Governor of Kasala, Mohammed Musa Abdul Rahman, has directed the development of work within the Kasala Microfinance Corporation and the creation of new resources to support the work of the Corporation. The Governor, during a meeting (Wednesday) with the Director of the Corporation in Kasala state, listned to a briefing on the corporation accomplishments in 2023 and its plans for the year 2024, the obstacles it faces.
For his part, the Director of the Microfinance Corporation, Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al-Khader, announced an increase in the volume of financing spent by the Corporation in the year 2023, which increased by 400% over the previous year 2022, by adding new financing from the Central Bank, the Nile Bank, and the Sudan Microfinance Company.
He pointed to the geographical expansion that the Corporation created at the local level and the possibility of entering localities that are not affiliated with the Corporation’s offices.
The Director of the Corporation reviewed the aspects related to the procedures of the Board of Directors, its composition, meetings, and all aspects related to the supervisory and regulatory system of microfinance institutions.
