CAF Fines, Suspends Algerian Coach Amrouche
Abidjan – Sudan Events
Today, Friday, the CAF Disciplinary Committee suspended Algerian coach Adel Amrouche, the coach of the Tanzania national team, for eight matches, and fined him $10,000, after false statements he made to an Algerian television channel.
Amrouche’s arrest comes after he appeared yesterday, Thursday, before the CAF Disciplinary Committee, against the backdrop of his recent statements he made to the Algerian “Al Haddaf” channel, in which he accused the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and its president, Faouzi Lekjaa, of controlling the wheels of the Confederation of African Football.
The Tanzanian national team coach retracted his statements during the press conference he held on Tuesday, indicating that his words were misunderstood when he said: “The decline in the strength of the Royal Moroccan Football League has to do with what is organizational and not a decrease, as hatred believes, as was the case with Egypt and Tunisia from before”..
It is worth noting that the Tanzanian Football Association, in turn, rejected the statements made by the coach of his country’s national team, the Algerian Adel Amrouche, who leveled accusations against Morocco in the person of the Royal Moroccan Football League.
The head of the Tanzanian Football Association, Wallace Kariya, said in a statement to Tanzanian “Azzam TV”: “We do not support the statements of our coach Adel. Amroush..
He expressed his categorical rejection of the Algerian coach’s statements, stressing that his country’s federation respects Morocco for its tireless efforts to develop football.
