Mané: Happy Playing For Saudi Club

Abidjan – Sudan Events

Senegalese national team striker Sadio Mane expressed his happiness at playing in the Saudi League, denying that he does not receive sufficient public attention, as is the case in the five major European leagues.

Mane told reporters after scoring the third goal against Cameroon in the match that ended 3-1 for his country on Friday in the African Cup of Nations: “This is what some people think because I am not in Europe. This makes you sad because I do not play in Europe. It does not matter that I am there as a player.”

Mane played for Liverpool in England and Bayern Munich in Germany before joining Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia last year.

Mane added: “Fortunately, I can say that the Saudi League is very good and everyone in the world watches it, so for me, as long as I give my best and enjoy every minute, this is the most important. For me, nothing else matters.”

The victory ensured Senegal’s qualification to the Round of 16 in the African Nations, with a match remaining in the group stage.
