Sudanese Pound Deteriorating in Both Markets

The exchange of the Sudanese market on Saturday, has recorded successive decline against foreign currencies, given the high demand for the dollar and the scarcity of available foreign currencies coupled with the prolongation of the war that has been taking place in Sudan since the 15th of April last year.

The price of the dollar in the black market exceeded 1,110 pounds for sale and 1,100 pounds for purchase, while its price in banks fluctuated between 911 and 1,050 pounds, as it recorded 950 pounds at the Bank of Khartoum, 1,050 pounds at Omdurman Bank, and 911 pounds at Faisal Bank.

While Gulf currencies in the parallel market continued to rise, as the Saudi riyal reached 292 pounds, the Emirati dirham reached 297 pounds, and the Qatari riyal reached 296 pounds.
