Abidjan – Sudan Events

Hussein Jeneh, a member of the Board of Directors of the Tunisian Football Federation, said that he had lodged an official protest with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), against Ghanaian Daniel Laria, referee of the match between the Eagles of Carthage and Mali (1-1) in the 2023 African Cup of Nations.

Janeh revealed, in a statement highlighted by the Tunisian newspaper “Al-Shorouk”, this Sunday morning: “We will file a protest against the Malian referee, because he overlooked the award of a clear penalty kick to the Tunisian national team, following an intervention on Youssef Msakni.”

The two teams tied (1-1) at the Amadou Jean Coulibaly Stadium, yesterday evening, Saturday, in the second round of the fifth group of the tournament.
