Armed Forces Defeat RSF in Babanousa

The town of Babanousa, the second largest city in the Misseriya nomad, was the scene of fierce fighting between army forces and the Janjaweed, in which military aircraft and troops participated, and the reserve forces (Popular Defense) were valiant in defending the town.
Local sources said that the battles began early in the morning against the Janjaweed infiltrating Al-Salam University to plunder and control it. However, the armed forces of the 22nd Division responded to the attack with heavy firearms, and reserve forces and forces from the Popular Resistance participated in defending Babanousa, which achieved superiority over the Janjaweed, and a drone launched by the Janjaweed was shot down.
The command of the 22nd Division, and more than 23 four-wheel drive vehicles were destroyed.
Independent sources estimated the losses of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia at about fifty dead and more than a hundred wounded who were transferred to Al Daien hospitals. Among the commanders of the rebellion in Babanousa, Colonel Adam Jabkhana, Major Kanish, Captain Hamdan Musa, and a large number of commanders were killed.
Sources in Babanousa said that the rebellion has retreated to the west, and celebrations to defeat the rebellion began this afternoon.
Babanousa is considered the head of the western sector of the railway, which is the largest city in the Misseriya, Al-Ajayra, then Al-Muglad and Al-Dabab.
Brigadier General Abdul Rahman Jumaa, the first accused in the crimes of ethnic cleansing in Al-Geneina, had repeatedly tried to tempt the Misseriya to hand over the town to RSF without Babanousa and the 22nd Division, fighting.
