Coptic Community Supports the Army

The Commander of
the 3rd Infantry Division – Shendi, Major General Hamdan Abdel Qader Daoud, on Thursday received support and a donation from the Coptic community, as an expression of its support for the state and the armed forces in the battle against the Rapid Support Militia.
The Armed Forces media reported on Friday that Major General Hamdan received on Thursday representatives of the Coptic community in Shendi in the Nile River State, led by Bishop Abu Daniel, accompanied by a number of members of the Emergency and Support Committee for the Armed Forces in the locality.
The division commander received the support and donation of the Coptic community to the state and the armed forces, which embodies the cohesion and interconnectedness of all sectors of Sudanese society and their standing alongside the state and the armed forces in the battle of dignity against the Al-Daglo terrorist militia to stop ethnic-based killing in Darfur, rape, displacement, looting, and the occupation of homes and civilian objects and turning them into military headquarters.
The army described the support of the various sects and groups of society as embodying the cohesion and interdependence of all sectors of Sudanese society and their standing by the state in defeating the Al-Daglo terrorist militia, and stressed the nationalism of the armed forces and that they do not belong to a sect, entity, tribe or family.
