UN Report: Hemedti’s Wealth Stands at $10 Billion

Documents checked by Al-Ahdath have shown that the Central Bank of Sudan has frustrated the transfer of $122 million to the Rapid Support Forces through the Gulf Bank, which is owned by companies affiliated to the Rapid Support Forces, 48 hours before the outbreak of war on April 15, 2023. The amount represents part of $500 million, remaining in debt which the Government of the Sudan owes the government of South Sudan
The commander of the Rapid Support Commander had pledged to President Salva Kiir that the money would be returned to the southerners. Thus he started using his influence to pressure the management of the Bank of Sudan albeit difficult circumstances to take action. And under threat the Central Bank began supplying the sum of five hundred million dollars to the Gulf Bank in accounts affiliated to the Rapid Support and not the government of the South Sudan.
In addition, an international report prepared by a committee of experts that will be presented to the National Assembly next Monday revealed that the Bank of Sudan has transferred $50 million to Rapid Support Forces, and the report estimated the wealth of Al-Junaid Company, affiliated to Rapid Support, stands at $10 billion.
