Communications: RSF Forced Switchboard Engineers to Shut down the Networks

Minister of Communications Adel Hassan affirmed that one of the most important available alternatives for operating telecommunications networks is to operatethe the network from Port Sudan.
His Excellency explained in a statement (to SUNA) that alternatives also include operating the Sudatel terrestrial network and operating the terrestrial Internet via Canar and Wi-Fi networks.
He said that the RSF Militia forced the switchboard engineers to shut down the networks.
Communications blackouts continue in Khartoum, Madani, and large parts of Darfur-Kordofan
Meanwhile, the outage of communications and Internet services continued in Khartoum and Madani for the eighth day, and the network outage in large parts of Darfur and Kordofan continued for months, while the Internet service of the Sudani network witnessed fluctuations in many cities after the return of service on Monday.
The Minister of Communications and Digital Transformation, Adel Hassan, during his meeting with the Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan, Al-Fatih Tayfur, at the Office of the Attorney General in the city of Port Sudan, called for the inclusion of the issue of shutting down communications networks by the RSF during the last week, calling on His Excellency the Attorney General to involve shutting down of operating networks of communications to the crimes dossier.
