Minister of Communications Reveals Alternatives to Operating the Network
Sudan Events
Sudan’s Minister of Communications, Adel Hassan, said that operating the network from Port Sudan is one of the most important alternatives available to solve the problem of communications outages.
He indicated, according to the Sudan News Agency, that alternatives also include operating the Sudatel terrestrial network and operating the terrestrial Internet via Canar and Wi-Fi networks. He said that what he described as the Rapid Support Militia forced the exchange engineers to shutdown the networks.
Sudan has been suffering from a general shutdown in the communications network for more than a week, while it has returned in some states and is still absent in other states, including the capital, Khartoum.
