Economic Expert Calls on the World to Support the Reconstruction of Sudan

Sudan Events – Nahed Oshi

Expert, economist Abdullah Al-Ramadi, called on foreign countries to help, support and compensate Sudan for the devastation it suffered as a result of the repercussions of the war that broke out on the fifteenth of April last year and caused destruction to the infrastructure. He said that the extent of the destruction caused to the Sudanese economy, infrastructure, factories and commercial activities is great and must be restored. It takes some time to enter the production stage, which may extend to a few months or years.

However, he continued in his speech to (Al-Ahdath): When security is completely restored and the aggressors are removed from the citizens’ homes and the citizens return to their homes, we need a period to reconcile the situation because the homes have been looted and vandalized from the inside and their contents have been tampered with until things stabilize and the factories begin operating and the government offices and the private sector work. Merchants in their shops and feeding them with goods and merchandise requires time for life to gradually return to its normal course.

He reiterated his assertion that if victory is achieved for the armed forces and the country gets rid of this aggressor fragmentation, there will be a major transformation, and there will be what comes after it, as things begin to gradually return to normal, especially since the destruction included large facilities, and reconstruction requires a strong push from the countries of the outside world, which must extend a helping hand to Sudan in a serious manner, in order to accelerate and shorten the period of restoration and rebuilding of what was destroyed as a result of the war that cost the country a lot. He added that the world must take a serious stand with Sudan, because what happened to it was the result of an order from some foreign countries, and fair countries must compensate Sudan for the damage it suffered.
