Tuchel is open to coaching Barcelona

German Thomas Tuchel, coach of Bayern Munich, is waiting for the opportunity to coach Barcelona during the next season.

Barcelona is looking for a new coach after Xavi Hernandez officially announced his departure at the end of the current season.

Bavarian also announced, on Wednesday, Tuchel’s departure next summer.

“So far, Tuchel has not held concrete talks with any club. He is focusing on Bayern, but he wants to take over as coach of a new club in the summer.” Florian Plettenberg, the famous journalist for Sky Sport Germany, wrote on his account on the X website.

“Tuchel is very open to moving to Barcelona. He is on the list of candidates drawn up by the Barcelona administration.” He added.

“For years, Tuchel has been analyzing Barcelona’s playing style. He is also fascinated by the (La Masia) academy. He met Barca legend Johan Cruyff during his life, and exchanged ideas with Pep Guardiola.” He continued.

“Recently, Tuchel praised the mentality of the Spanish players. In short, he can be described as a fan of Spain, and above all, of Barcelona.” He continued.

“But Tuchel is also open to returning to work in the English Premier League.” He concluded.
