Revitalizing Arab Farmers Union Organs and structures

The former Secretary General of the Sudan Farmers Union and member of the Central Committee of the Union of Arab Peasants and Agricultural Cooperatives (UAPAC), Abdul Hamid Adam Mukhtar, has revealed that a preliminary agreement had been reached to hold a consultative meeting after the month of Ramadan in Cairo to reach the ideal way to revitalize the organs and structures of the General Union of Arab Peasants under Egyptian auspices.
He pointed out in his statement to (Al-Ahdath) that a meeting was held yesterday in the presence of Mansour Tabeka, former Secretary-General of the UAPAC from Libya, Hamed Farrag, Secretary-General of the Egyptian Central Agricultural Cooperative Union, member of the Central Committee of the UAPAC, and Khaled Hammad, member of the Board of Directors of the Central Agricultural Cooperative Union of Egypt and Atef, Director of the Office of the President of the Central Egyptian Agricultural Cooperative Union, Mamdouh Hamada, Assistant Secretary-General of the UAPAC, in Cairo at the office of the Central Egyptian Agricultural Cooperative Union, during which discussion and reflection took place about revitalizing the bodies of the UAPAC represented in the General Secretariat and the Central Committee and the General Conference. Khaled Ghazaal, Secretary-General of the UAPAC in Damascus, supported the issue and said that the agricultural, livestock and cooperative sector in the Arab countries needs the role of the Union at the present time.
