Minawi: RSF militia repeats the crimes it committed in El Geneina on Gezira State

Sudan Liberation Army Movement  SLA/M Minawi Command described what happened against the defenseless citizens in the city of El Geneina as similar to what is happening now in the villages of Gezira State, and that the Rapid Support Forces RSF are repeating the same experience.

The movement’s military spokesman, Major Ahmed Hussein Mustafa, said that the practices adopted by the “Rapid Support Forces  RSF militia” in West Darfur and the city of El Geneina, including killing and displacing citizens, are now happening in the villages of Gezira State in central Sudan.

During the last a couple days, the Rapid Support Forces RSF launched an attack on  many villages in Gezira and opened fire in a way  described as “brutal” against unarmed citizens, killing and wounding more than 15 people in the village of Al-Uqda Al-Magharibi.

The movement’s military spokesman called for the necessity of dismantling the “rebel militia,” because without dismantling it, there can be no life in Sudan.

For their part, political figures called on the Rapid Support Forces  RSF to remove fighters from the villages and neighborhoods of the island’s cities and to stay away from areas where civilians are present, and called for the necessity of holding the perpetrators accountable for these crimes.

Mustafa explained that the “Rapid Support RSF  Militia” took two axes in its war, one against the Sudanese army SAF and one against the citizens, and what is happening in the villages of Gezira now is a vital example – he said.

For their part, Wad Madani Resistance Committees and the Hasahisa Resistance Committees said that the “Rapid Support RSF Militia” is still taking advantage of the communications outage and the media blackout to commit all kinds of violations against citizens.
