Milan coach: Facing Atalanta will determine our fate this season

Milan coach Stefano Pioli believes that the outcome of the confrontation against Atalanta on Sunday may determine the team’s fate in the rest of the current season of the Italian Football League.
Pioli stressed the need to win over Atalanta to keep hopes alive in competing for the title and chasing the qualifying places for the European Championships next season.
Milan ranks third, 11 points behind leaders Inter Milan.
In the event of a loss at San Siro, Milan may lose its position in the struggle for top positions, especially taking into account that fifth-placed Atalanta has a game in hand, having achieved five consecutive victories.
Pioli said in a press conference on Saturday: “Sunday’s match is very important regarding our position in the table.”
“Many of the teams below us continue to score points, and we want to return to the path of victories.” He added.
“It will be a difficult match, as we face an opponent who is performing well, but we are also performing well. They have beaten us twice this season, so we are preparing for the match with the aim of appearing better.” He explained.
