South Africa announced its efforts to alleviate the severity of the humanitarian crisis in Sudan.
The South African Embassy, represented by its political advisor, intervened in cooperation with the African Center for Governance, Peace and Transformation Studies (AcoGaps) to launch the “Aid Project for Sudan.”
This initiative aims to provide much-needed assistance to vulnerable groups, particularly children and women, who have been greatly affected by the ongoing conflict.
The project builds on the long-standing relationship between South Africa and Sudan, with the political advisor highlighting the embassy’s efforts to re-establish its presence and exploring opportunities for humanitarian support that will be provided through Gift of The Givers, an international humanitarian organization coordinated by the South African government’s assistance to countries affected by armed conflict. and disasters, which will provide basic assistance, including food, medical assistance, shelter, responding to children’s needs, and treating malnutrition diseases.
