Opening of the modern Gedaref slaughterhouse during Ramadan

In the second half of this March, the modern Gedaref slaughterhouse will open with a capacity of (3) thousand heads of sheep per day and about 500 bull.
The head of his division, meat exporters Dr. Khaled Al-Maqbool consideredthe slaughterhouse a real addition in light of the war going on now and the suspension of the main slaughterhouses in Khartoum that were working in the field of exports (modern kadro, Karari, African Shaheen, Gemco, and Ghanawa), while the coastal slaughterhouse and the Tala slaughterhouse, which will be opened soon in Shendi are operating. He pointed out in a statement to (Al-Ahdath) to shift attention towards regional development.
On the other hand, he praised the investors for transforming the old slaughterhouse into a modern slaughterhouse and introducing new lines with large capacity, with refrigeration and integrated services, and preparing the environment around the slaughterhouse, which encourages the achievement of added value to the products. He said that the slaughterhouse will be in the ranks of modern slaughterhouses, praising the investment in the slaughterhouse, which he described as courageous and said that it comes at a good time. He add that the country needs to compensate for the gap in exports from the five main slaughterhouses in Khartoum. Moreover, he confirmed that the Gedaref slaughterhouse after the war will have a great value and place in the middle of a productive region like Gedaref, which is rich in large agricultural and animal production. “Now we need businessmen with courage and broad agreement to (bridge the gap) and invest in the future.” He said. Indicating that the slaughterhouse would restore Sudan’s share in the regional market.
Al-Maqbool called on producers to benefit from the modern Gedaref slaughterhouse as a new gateway that opens new horizons and achieves the sustainability of Sudan’s expansion in foreign markets.
