New raise in transportation tariffs

Public vehicle owners in Shendi locality in Nahr al-Tail state today (Tuesday) implemented a new increase in transportation tariffs, and justified this due to the increase implemented by gas stations yesterday in the prices of gasoline and gasoline.
Vehicle owners said that they were surprised by the increase in the price of a gallon of gasoline to 7,500 pounds compared to 6,100 pounds, while the price of a gallon of gasoline increased by 7,000 pounds, and they considered the increase to be very large and affecting them, pointing out that they were forced to increase the transportation tariff in order not to lose, noting the increase in the price of vehicle oils. And the gas refinery and the cost of maintenance, and they criticized the price increase in light of the current circumstances and the country is suffering from the impact of the militia war.
At a time, fuel store workers justified the price increase according to the distribution companies’ decision due to the high cost of transportation.
The bus fare from the Shendi neighborhoods to the market increased by 500 pounds, while the price of the rickshaws reached 700 pounds.
