Liverpool is preparing to face Sparta Prague, on Thursday, in the first leg of the Europa League semi-final, with one of its prominent stars returning to training.
The English club published a video clip on its official social media platforms, on Wednesday, of part of the team’s training.
The training session showed Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah running with his teammates in the training facilities.
“The return of Mohamed Salah.” The official Premier League account commented on the video with the phrase.
The Egyptian international has not participated with the Reds since his injury after facing Brentford in mid-February, during which he scored one goal and made another in the English Premier League.
Liverpool had submitted an official request to the Egyptian national team to exempt Salah from joining the Pharaohs’ camp this March, due to his not returning from injury yet.
Salah suffered an injury while he was with the Egyptian national team in the African Cup of Nations, which caused him to miss the Reds, before his return in the Brentford match.
But the injury occurred again, causing him to miss 3 more matches: Chelsea in the League Cup final, Luton Town and Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
However, the Egyptian national team rejected Liverpool’s request, and new coach Hossam Hassan decided to summon Salah to the March camp.
