Al-Hilal Club revealed, on Wednesday, the nature of the injury of its team star, Salem Al-Dosari, which he suffered against Al-Ittihad in Jeddah.
Al-Dosari suffered an injury in the match that his team won against Al-Ittihad 2-0 at the Kingdom Arena, Tuesday, in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League.
Al-Hilal said, in a statement published on its account on the “X” website, that the medical tests that Al-Dosari underwent showed a knee injury.
Al-Zaeem explained that the player will undergo an x-ray on Wednesday on the site of his injury, which caused a state of concern for Al Hilal fans regarding the player’s injury.
Salem Al-Dosari raised his tally of goals in the AFC Champions League with Al-Hilal to 21 goals, moving him away as the top scorer for Al-Zaeem in the continental championship throughout history, with a difference of 3 goals from Yasser Al-Qahtani, according to statistics from the Saudi Al-Riyadiya newspaper.
The 32-year-old player scored his fourth goal during the current season in the continental championship, equaling his highest tally in one season in the competition (2021-2022).
