Port workers go on strike and threaten to close
Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah
The Supreme Committee against the Privatization of Seaports in Sudan announced a 24-hour strike, starting from (Monday) March 11 until (Tuesday), in rejection of the decision of the Transitional Council of Ministers to assign some jobs to the center instead of the ports.
The statement of the Supreme Committee against the Privatization of Seaports explained that the closure will be followed by a complete closure if the committee’s memorandum is not responded to 72 hours after the strike, and they threatened a complete closure if the Sovereignty Council rejects their demands.
