Vinicius Calls on UEFA to Punish Atletico Madrid Fans

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior denounced the racist attack he was subjected to before the start of the match between Atletico Madrid and its guest Inter Milan, on Wednesday.
Atletico Madrid reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League after winning 3-2 on penalties over Inter Milan, in the match held at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
A video clip circulated on social media of a group of Atleti fans chanting against Vinicius, calling him a “monkey.”
Vinicius sent a message via his Twitter account to UEFA, saying, “I would like to think about punishing them. This is an unfortunate fact that happens even in matches in which I am not present.”
The Brazilian player accompanied his words with a video clip of the racism incident.
Vinicius Junior has suffered repeated racist attacks since his arrival in Spain in 2018.
Vinicius participated in 27 matches in all competitions with Real Madrid this season, and succeeded in scoring 16 goals and assisting 8 others.
