Ministry of Justice: RSF disrupted the agencies charged with arresting who are wanted to the ICC
Khartoum – Sudan Events
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, Howaida Awad Al-Karim, informed the International Criminal Court ICC delegation that visited Sudan last week that rapid support disrupted the agencies charged with arresting those wanted for criminal offences.
The International Criminal Court ICC delegation, which visited Port Sudan during the second week of March, is facing great difficulties in obtaining real information about the whereabouts of its wanted persons accused of committing crimes in Darfur, led by President Omar al-Bashir and his assistants, Abdul Rahim Mohamed Hussein and Ahmed Haroun.
Legal experts and observers connected to the file confirmed that the Criminal Court delegation accused the Sudanese government of covering up the wanted persons and presenting flimsy arguments to justify not arresting them, despite their presence in places under the army’s control since they fled from Kober Prison, east of the capital, Khartoum, a few days after the outbreak of war between the SAF And the RSF in mid-April 2023.
However, informed sources confirmed that Al-Bashir, Bakri and Abdel-Rahim, who are senior generals in the Sudanese army, refused to leave the medical facility in which they were receiving treatment.
Despite the fact that the Rapid Support RSF militia targeted Al-Bashir’s residence with the aim of killing him, as pictures circulated showed the extent of the destruction that occurred to the building in which Al-Bashir was at the Military Hospital..
