The Sudanese products prices break new records

The prices of Sudanese products in Cairo witnessed a significant increase, as a number of Sudanese residing in the Arab Republic of Egypt adopted a boycott campaign for Sudanese products, the prices of which doubled, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. Whereas the price of a kg of wheat flour reached 60 pounds, compared to 22 pounds in Egyptian stores. One kg of corn flour (Zadna) ranged between 80 and 70 pouns, while one kg in Egyptian stores reached 21 pounds.
One kg of local cow ghee costs 1,200 pounds, while a kg of buffalo ghee costs 280 pounds in Egyptian stores. The price of a kg of waika (okra powder) reached 450 pounds. One kg of braided cheese reached 450 pounds, while one kg of lamb meat reached 500 pounds, and one kilo of beef amounted to 400 pounds. A number of Sudanese complained about the low value of the Sudanese pound compared to the Egyptian pound, where the pound recorded 28.3 Sudanese pounds through the application of “Bankak”.
