The rise of the dollar causes new increases in commodity prices

Foreign currency rates continued to rise against the Sudanese pound.
The price of the dollar in parallel market transactions, on Tuesday, recorded 1,430 pounds for sale and 1,410 pounds for purchase.
In official transactions, the price of the dollar at the Bank of Khartoum reached 1,090 pounds, while it reached 1,200 pounds at the Bank of Omdurman, and the dollar at Faisal Bank reached 1,180 pounds.
Regarding other currency trading, the price of the Saudi riyal recorded 376 pounds, while the UAE dirham exceeded the ceiling of 384.19 pounds, while the Qatari riyal remained high at 386.30 pounds.
The rise in foreign currencies caused an increase in the prices of consumer goods in the markets of the Nile River State.
The Nile River markets witnessed an increase in prices, as the price of a kilogram of sugar reached 1,800 pounds, while the price of a 50-kg bag reached 80,000 pounds.
The price of one kg of flour reached 1,200 pounds, the price of a pound of coffee ranged from 3,000 to 3,500 pounds, a pound of tea ranged from 4,000 to 5,000 pounds, while the price of a pound of oil reached 1,600 pounds.
One quarter of dates reached 10,000 pounds, a sack of chickpeas reached 60,000 pounds, while the price of a quarter of onions reached 6,000 pounds, and one kg of veal meat rose from 7,000 to 8,000 pounds, as for lamb, it reached 12,000 pounds for one kg, and pure and minced meat 12,000 pounds.
