Osimhen is away from retaining the Best in Africa 2024 award

Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s English star, is close to winning the title of best player in Africa for the year 2024, after Nigerian Victor Osimhen, Napoli’s Italian star, won it in the last edition.
Mohamed Salah previously won the title of best player in Africa two years in a row, and he was a candidate to win in previous years, which was won by his former teammate Sadio Mane, through Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

Napoli’s disastrous season

Napoli’s disastrous season has put its striker, Victor Osimhen, the best player in Africa, in trouble, especially since the competition with Mohamed Salah is in the latter’s favor during the current period.
Napoli is reeling in the midfield positions, occupying seventh place in the Italian League table, which makes it far from the clubs nominated, even the clubs to participate in the continental championships next season.

Mohamed Salah is the best player in Africa

As the season approached its end, Mohamed Salah succeeded in imposing himself on the European scene as one of the best scorers in the English Premier League, in addition to the local titles that he began winning recently, starting with the Carabao Cup at the expense of Chelsea and topping the English Premier League table this season.
Mohamed Salah competes at the top of the scoring scene in the English Premier League with Norwegian Erling Haaland, the Manchester City player, and he also outperforms all the players in the Reds’ forward position in scoring for his club, Liverpool.
Mohamed Salah is considered the most prominent candidate to be crowned the best player in Africa in the next edition, after the decline in the role of Victor Osimhen and the lack of competitors at the same level as the Egyptian star in the Big Five during the current period.
Mohamed Salah hopes to win the European League title and then compete for the European Super Cup next season and the English Premier League, which will make him able to stand on the podium at the next CAF ceremony.
