Liverpool continued its victories in the English Premier League, at the expense of its guest, Sheffield United, by three goals to one, in the match that brought them together yesterday evening, Thursday, at Anfield Stadium, in the 31st round of the competition during the current season 2023-2024.
Mohamed Salah participated in the match as a starter, before he was substituted in the 59th minute of the match.
Liverpool ended the first half of the match, leading with a clean goal, scored by its Uruguayan striker, Darwin Nunez, after a fatal error by the Sheffield United goalkeeper, who shot the ball at the Reds striker, and it returned to his net.
The match was stopped in the 25th minute, in order to make room for the Muslim players to break their fast, including the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool player.
Sheffield United succeeded in achieving the equalizer in the 58th minute, through Connor Bradley, by mistake, in his own net.
Argentine Mac Allister scored the Reds’ second goal in the 77th minute, with a missile shot, which landed to the left of the visitors’ goalkeeper. Dutchman Cody Jacobo completed the hat-trick for the Reds in the last minute of the match.
