Demands for processing gold proceeds

Media Secretary of the Gold Merchants and Exporters Division, Atef Ahmed, stressed the necessity of processing the pending gold proceeds and accepting them directly from the banks at the encouraging price to ensure the continued movement of gold exports.
Atef welcomed the announcement of arrangements for establishing a unified window to facilitate procedures for gold exporters in coordination between the Central Bank of Sudan and the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited, and developing procedures for the purpose of increasing export revenues and supporting the state’s public treasury with foreign currencies.
Atef said in his speech to (Al-Ahdath) that they had been demanding for one year of health for two consecutive years.
He pointed to the decline in the price of the national currency, which is not reflected in the price of gold.
