Ancelotti sends a message to Real Madrid players

On Thursday, Real Madrid completed its second training session in preparation for facing Real Mallorca next Saturday, in the 31st round of the Spanish League.
The confrontation comes in the middle of two round-robin matches in the Champions League quarter-finals against Manchester City, and the Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, the Royal coach, does not want to waste his points to continue the journey towards the La Liga title.
Ancelotti told the players that the message was clear: to emerge with a victory from the stronghold of Mallorca to reach at least an 8-point lead over Barcelona, before the El Clásico match in the next round of La Liga on Sunday, April 21.
Sources from the club conveyed the content of this message, noting that there are a number of key players who need to rest before playing the return match against the Citizens, so Ancelotti is expected to prepare an alternative lineup for the confrontation.
Brazilian Eder Militao is likely to return to Real Madrid’s defense against Mallorca, for the first time since August 12, when he suffered a cruciate ligament tear against Athletic Bilbao in the left knee.
The main players who participated against City (3-3) joined today’s training, after resting yesterday, as the injured Thibaut Courtois and David Alaba continue their rehabilitation.
Real Madrid is at the top of La Liga with 75 points, 8 points ahead of runner-up Barcelona and 10 points behind third-placed Girona.
