The White Nile State prepares for the summer season

The Ministry of Production and Economic Resources in White Nile State has begun early preparations for the upcoming summer agricultural season.
The Minister in charge of the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources in the state, Eng. Wissal Sheikh Farah, said that her ministry has prepared an ambitious indicative area plan for the upcoming summer agricultural season, accompanied by economic feasibility studies, the size of financing, and the needs and requirements of agricultural inputs for the areas proposed for the next agricultural season.
She explained during her inspection of the seed sieve in Kosti that the White Nile State is highly relied upon in providing food security crops and supporting the country’s national product, and it bears great burdens in the field of sifting, fumigating and preparing seeds due to the cessation of the sieves of neighboring states as a result of the ongoing war in the country, confirming the readiness of the seed sieve to receive the seeds for sifting and Purifying and fogging it.
Noting that a thousand sacks of corn have been sifted and five hundred sacks are under sifting in preparation for the next agricultural season.
The Director of the Seed Department at the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources in White Nile State, Engineer Mahjoub Adam Saber, explained that the seed sieve was designed to sift and purify all seeds except peanut seeds. He said that the sieve provides integrated services that include sifting, purification and fogging to protect the seeds from insects and diseases.
He announced the readiness of the state sieve to receive and prepare seeds from the state and neighboring states in packages ranging from 25 to 50 kilograms.
