60% increase in Al-Obeid crop market revenues

The Executive Director of Al-Obeid city crop market, Hassan Bab Al-Rahma, revealed that total revenues during the first quarter of the current year amounted to 462 million and 945 thousand and 390 pounds, an increase of 60% over the previous year.
Bab Al-Rahma indicated in a statement that these revenues included revenues from acacia gum, raw beans, watermelon seeds, sesame, and hibiscus, stressing that the employees of the collection apparatus are making significant efforts in enforcing the work directives that were set by the Crop Markets Administration in Al-Obeid and the revenue development and collection apparatus in the state.
For his part, the director of the revenue collection agency in the Al-Obeid crop market, Adel Abu Shaqa, explained that these revenues contributed greatly to supplying the state treasury in order to provide the necessary services to the citizens of the state despite the exceptional circumstances it is going through.
He praised the efforts of market workers, traders, companies and producers’ agents who played a major role in achieving these revenues.
