The State of Kuwait has resumed its air bridge to provide aid to those affected by the war in Sudan. On Tuesday, plane No. 17 arrived at Port Sudan Airport, carrying about 50 tons of medical aid containing medicines and foodstuffs, along with three ambulances, medical wheelchairs, and beds to put patients to sleep.
The Acting Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Khalil Mohammad Ibrahim, in press statements at Port Sudan Airport, said that Kuwait was one of the first countries to send an air bridge after the outbreak of war on April 15, and now this plane contains medical equipment, ambulances, and food supplies, and he added that the need is great.
Khalil praised the support provided by sisterly countries, especially the State of Kuwait, stressing the delivery of medical and humanitarian aid to all those in the states affected by the war.
For his part, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Sudan, Fahd Al-Dhafiri, said that the first plane is part of an air bridge that Kuwait will operate to help the Sudanese people. It came after the first package provided by Kuwait last year, which contained various medicines, and it will be followed by another plane.
