The President of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, has arrived in the city of Merowe amid official and popular receptions.
Upon his arrival, he inspected the command of the 19th Infantry Division, in Merowe
, and received comprehensive enlightenment about the overall situation in the northern state.
Al-Burhan reassured the efforts made by the division’s command to secure the region, praising the state’s masses’ rally around the armed forces and their involvement in the popular resistance.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces toured the Merowe market, checked the flow of goods and their prices, and checked on the commercial activity in the city.
Al-Burhan also visited the city of Dongola, held a meeting with the northern state government and the state security committee, and was reassured during the meeting about the security and economic situation in the state.
He also made an inspection tour of the Dongola market, during which he reviewed the conditions of goods and services and their flow to citizens.

He added His government is making great efforts to monitor sleeper cells and thwart their plans to destabilize security and stability in the state.
The northern governor said that Al-Burhan also reviewed the state’s preparations to open schools during the current month of May and was reassured, through the executive report that was submitted, of the stability of the state and the disbursement of salaries to its workers, as well as the stability of the winter season.
