Sudan Events – Agencies

Sudan’s Ambassador to Rwanda, Khaled Musa, has confirmed the government’s openness to the peace agreement.
Musa said in an interview with the “New Times newspaper”, “We are committed to any call for peace, but it must be based on two conditions: first, that it meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people, and second, that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) respect their commitment to the Declaration of Principles. They must also leave and evacuate all Civilian facilities, citizens’ homes and property, and the gathering of all their forces in specific areas accordingly.”
He acknowledged that the main challenge facing Sudanese foreign policy is to stop the war, and added, “We need to stop the suffering of citizens and the destruction of the country by winning the war and restoring our dignity… and we would certainly like to return our country to the correct path of history.”
In another context, Musa said that the total investments of the Sudanese community in Rwanda amount to more than 50 million dollars.
