Arrival of Pumps for Bait Al-Mal Water Station

The Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, has directed the Khartoum State Water Authority to immediately begin installing the pumps for the Bait Al-Mal water station, which were provided by a member of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber.
He said while receiving the pumps that the support comes in the wake of Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber’s visit to the Bait al-Mal water station, accompanied by a ministerial delegation and a number of directors of public bodies, during which they reviewed the needs of restoring services to the old Omdurman area after it was cleared of rebellion in preparation for the safe return of citizens.
The governor praised the quick response of Lieutenant General Jaber to the need of the citizens of Omdurman for drinking water.
For his part, Director General of the Khartoum Water Corporation, Mohammad Ali Al-Ajab, said that the pumps will contribute to the operation of the station by 50% and will provide drinking water to the neighborhoods of Old Omdurman and the eastern neighborhoods of Umbada locality. He pledged to redouble the efforts of the technical teams to speed up the rehabilitation and operation of the station.
