TSC: We Initiate Restoring What was Destroyed by War

Member of the Transitional Sovereign Council (TSC), Lieutenant General Marine Engineer Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, has emphasized the positive role of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO) in serving the national economy, and considered the SSMO to be one of Sudan’s luminaries, representing the passport for the entry and transit of products into the country, and it is the first line of defense for the consumer.
He praised the employees of the SSMO, and said during his address, on Saturday, the inauguration ceremony of devices for examining and stamping gold, precious metals and precious stones.
They took the initiative to activate the work after the outbreak of war and employed all technical and human capabilities in defiance of the circumstances until they crowned this great effort by supplying these modern technical devices to control the quality of gold to achieve high profitability for the state treasury, indicating that the SSMO achieved a common language with all relevant parties to maximize production and productivity.
He added that the SSMO and its employees are soldiers in the battle of dignity within the axis of the economic war, calling on institutions to follow suit, and directed the SSMO to continue achieving achievements and bring in all technical aids that help protect the economy, stressing the government’s confidence in the scientific expertise of the Authority’s employees to achieve the aspirations of the people.
He directed the mineral partners to redouble efforts and tighten coordination to work together to increase and maximize gold exports. He stressed that the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization is capable of controlling the quality of all of this with high professionalism and competence, and that the products are in safe hands with them. He sent a message to the Sudanese people that victory is inevitably coming, and he said, “We have actually begun.” “In restoring what was destroyed by the war.”
For her part, the Director General of the SSMO, Rahba Saeed, confirmed that specifications are one of the bastions of defense of the nation, and that it fulfills its national duty in protecting the consumer and the economy.
She said that the inauguration represents a new victory for the nation in times of war, coinciding with the victory of our brave soldiers in the various axes of operations. Since the outbreak of the war, the SSMO has continued to provide its services in controlling imports and exports, and its employees have continued to provide protection for the homeland and the citizen in his food and drink, and to promote his exports.
She said that the authority’s branches in ports and crossings stand as a fortified barrier to prevent the entry of goods and products that violate specifications and standards.
And maximizing gold exports as an essential resource for the country’s economy by conducting all inspection and stamping operations for all gold exports. Despite the SSMO’s loss of the presidential tower in Khartoum, which houses all modern devices, the Authority was up to the great national challenge in continuing this service, responding to the directives of the Transitional Sovereign Council and the decisions of the Council of Ministers by increasing and maximizing gold exports, the launch of the advanced German-American technical package in the field of examining and hallmarking gold jewelry was considered a historic achievement for the nation in a record time in which we have overcome the bitterness of demolition, destruction, and the loss of the technical body structures.
She said that importing this modern equipment is an important step in the country’s reconstruction phase and establishing an integrated economic system in accordance with international standards and specifications to be the basic standard in construction and reconstruction.
He said that advanced technology will effectively contribute to speeding up procedures and facilitating the flow of gold export operations with high accuracy commensurate with international trade requirements, thus enhancing and supplying the state treasury with foreign exchange and encouraging the opening of new global markets for Sudanese gold.
